The Doctors: Bio

THE DOCTORS   are essentially a Duo consisting of Don Mackenzie Lead vox (Rhythm/lead guitar) slide guitar and Banjo,and Jimmy Yhap vocals and 12 string guitar they come from Scotland and London respectively They have been playing music together for almost 20 years and their blend of vocal harmony has been a key feature in the team.

During this time The Doctors have also built up a following throughout London and while performing within this multicultural city have been invited to play all over the world.

In recent years the Doctors have extend their playability by inviting other professional musicians to join them for various ventures both at home and abroad and have invited Niall O'Brien Moran to join them for the two week Celtic event on Vikings ships "Cinderella". Niall brings a rich rhythmic and melodic aspect to the music as well as a unique vocal tone.

Also part of the team is Joseph Crane of Poitin Stil from Donegal on the fiddle and Jack McCarthy from Dingle in Kerry of the band "Dingle Spike" on Lead vox and acoustic guitar and Danny(Bongo) form Dublin on Percussion.  The Doctors have been known to play eight piece on stage, utilizing the various instruments that lend its hand to celtic music.
